Today’s Q3 Earnings: Maha Scooter Shines with a 230% Profit Surge, HDFC Life Posts 14% Growth. What About the Rest?
During this results season, 32 companies have reported positive outcomes so far, while 30 have shown negative figures in their Q3 profit and loss statements. Here are the December quarter results announced today.

After today’s market close, HDFC Life, one of the leading insurance companies, announced its performance for the last three months. The company reported a net profit of ₹414 crore, reflecting a 13.7% increase from last year’s ₹365 crore. However, despite the good results, the net profit failed to exceed the estimates.
The insurance company reported a significant 10% growth in Net Premium Income (NPI), which surged to ₹16,771 crore, up from ₹15,235 crore during the same period last year.
Prior to the earnings announcement, HDFC Life ended the day with a 1.04% decline. The insurance company’s stock is currently trading at ₹594, with a market capitalization of ₹1,27,973 crore, reflecting a 22% drop from its 52-week high.

Another company from IT sector, the L&T technology services, provided their 3rd quarter to exchanges fillings today. The tech company’s net profit remained flat at Rs. 319.5 crore, a slight down from 320 crore previous year’s quarter.
However, the revenue of L&T Technology Services rose by 3% to ₹2,572.9 crore, slightly up from the previous year’s ₹2,653 crore for the same quarter. Moreover, the EBITDA saw a more significant growth compared to net profit and revenue, increasing by 9% to ₹287.7 crore, up from ₹421.9 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The Current Market Price (CMP) of L&T Technology Services shares stands at ₹4,851 per share, with a market capitalization of ₹51,364 crore. Additionally, the stock is trading 19% below its all-time high of ₹6,000.

Maharashtra Scooters Limited, a subsidiary of Bajaj Holdings, reported strong growth in its financial performance for Q3FY25. Although revenue declined by 9.1% to ₹5.79 crore from ₹6.37 crore in Q3FY24, the company saw significant improvements in other areas.
EBITDA surged by 238%, reaching ₹4.9 crore compared to ₹1.2 crore in the same period last year. Net profit also rose by 230%, reaching ₹3.3 crore, up from ₹1 crore in Q3FY24.
The company’s stock is currently priced at ₹9,337 per share, with a market capitalization of ₹10,678 crore. However, the stock is down 27% from its 52-week high.

HDFC Asset Management Company (AMC) showed strong growth in its financial performance for Q3FY25. Revenue surged by 39.1%, reaching ₹935 crore, compared to ₹671 crore in Q3FY24. Net profit also saw a solid increase of 31.4%, rising to ₹641 crore from ₹488 crore in the previous year.
The company’s stock price grew by 4.7% today, currently trading at ₹4,048 per share, with a market capitalization of ₹86,548 crore.

CEAT reported its Q3FY25 results, showing strong growth in revenue and EBITDA, but a decline in net profit. Revenue rose by 11.4%, reaching ₹3,300 crore, up from ₹2,963 crore in Q3FY24. EBITDA increased by 18.3%, rising to ₹417 crore compared to ₹341 crore in the same period last year.
However, net profit saw a significant decline of 46.5%, falling to ₹97 crore from ₹181 crore in Q3FY24.
Ahead of the results, CEAT’s stock gained 0.41% today, with the current market price (CMP) at ₹3,056 per share and a market capitalization of ₹12,371 crore.
